What is a data-sharing agreement?

When you use Credit Sense, your information is transferred securely and automatically and you remain in control of your data, who has access to it, and how long they can access it for.

Each time you use Credit Sense to share your information with a financial service provider (e.g. a lender, a broker, a real estate agency), we confirm who you wish to share your data with and how long they should have ongoing access to it. For example, if you apply for a loan, your lender may wish to have ongoing access to your financial position for six months so they can support you through any financial difficulties and make offers tailored to your circumstances.

We record each data-sharing agreement and keep track of who has access and when, automatically controlling when your data can be accessed on your behalf.

If you no longer wish for a financial service provider to have ongoing access to your data, you can see and cancel your data-sharing agreements using your free My Credit Sense account at any time.
